Gandlake 5 Sweep Up at the IRRV Performance Awards

All five of Gandlake’s customers that were shortlisted at the prestigious IRRV Annual Performance Awards this year picked up accolades.

Highlight of the night was Sutton Council who won Gold for Benefits Team of the Year and Bronze for Revenues Team of the Year.

Other successes recognised by the IRRV were Croydon Council who won gold in Excellence in Education, Training and Development and bronze for Benefits Team of the Year, Cheshire West and Chester Council, awarded silver for Excellence in Social Inclusion, and Preston City Council and Fylde Borough Council Fraud Partnership picked up gold for Excellence in Partnership Working.

Newham Council also won gold in Excellence in Anti Fraud.

Southwark Council at IRRV Annual Conference

Dominic Cain, Head of Client Services for Southwark Council is a confirmed speaker at the IRRV Annual Conference in Harrogate. The event is held over three days (28th – 30th September) and Dominic will be presenting on the first day. His presentation will cover the radical web programme at Southwark Council and how it sets out to dramatically improve their web channel, with a view to completely refreshing the way in which business could be transacted with their community. Having worked in partnership with Dominic and his team to deliver the authority wide customer account, Gandlake is delighted Dominic has been invited to speak at the conference.

Harrow Council at IRRV Scotland

We are delighted to announce Carol Cutler, Director of Customer Services and Business Transformation for Harrow Council will be speaking at the IRRV Scottish Annual Conference in Crieff. The conference is being held at the Crieff Hydro Hotel on 1st and 2nd September.

Carol will be delivering a presentation about the online services available through the Harrow Council website and how their new authority wide customer account will save processing time, free up staff time and deliver significant cost savings. SIX £1000 Gandlake Bursaries for IRRV Qualifications – Apply Now

The bursaries are an initiative introduced by the IRRV three years ago with the support of Gandlake.

The bursary consists of a payment of £1000 which can be spent on materials or courses associated with studying for the Institute’s professional examinations. A total of six bursaries will be awarded.

Applications must be in writing stating why you believe you should qualify for an award of a Gandlake bursary. Your application should be sent by email to membership@irrv.org.uk by 5pm on 31st July 2010. All applications will be acknowledged on receipt and the successful applicants will be notified by the end of August 2010.

The six successful candidates will be invited to the IRRV Annual Conference 2010, which takes place on 28th September 2010 until 1st October 2010 in Harrogate as guests of the sponsor. Successful candidates will be expected to take part in promotional events while in attendance.

Meeting the Cost Cutting Challenge

To assist local authorities in identifying potential areas of savings, the IRRV will be running a series of seminars through February and March 2010 in conjunction with Gandlake and other strategic partners. The seminars will be designed to help local government improve efficiency and maximise revenue opportunities in both local taxation and benefits.
