Dominic Cain, Head of Client Services for Southwark Council is a confirmed speaker at the IRRV Annual Conference in Harrogate. The event is held over three days (28th – 30th September) and Dominic will be presenting on the first day. His presentation will cover the radical web programme at Southwark Council and how it sets out to dramatically improve their web channel, with a view to completely refreshing the way in which business could be transacted with their community. Having worked in partnership with Dominic and his team to deliver the authority wide customer account, Gandlake is delighted Dominic has been invited to speak at the conference. We are delighted to announce Carol Cutler, Director of Customer Services and Business Transformation for Harrow Council will be speaking at the IRRV Scottish Annual Conference in Crieff. The conference is being held at the Crieff Hydro Hotel on 1st and 2nd September.
Carol will be delivering a presentation about the online services available through the Harrow Council website and how their new authority wide customer account will save processing time, free up staff time and deliver significant cost savings. The bursaries are an initiative introduced by the IRRV three years ago with the support of Gandlake.
The bursary consists of a payment of £1000 which can be spent on materials or courses associated with studying for the Institute’s professional examinations. A total of six bursaries will be awarded.

To assist local authorities in identifying potential areas of savings, the IRRV will be running a series of seminars through February and March 2010 in conjunction with Gandlake and other strategic partners. The seminars will be designed to help local government improve efficiency and maximise revenue opportunities in both local taxation and benefits.
