2008 brings challenge and change to revenues and benefits services. The local housing allowance is the biggest change to housing benefit since it was introduced in the 1980s, and the deadline for full implementation is 7 April 2008.
In addition, the Audit Commission is now taking on responsibility for inspecting housing benefit and council tax benefit services, they expect to inspect 35 councils in the coming year. Will yours be one? What will inspectors be looking for?
These changes are set against a familiar background of the need for efficiency and better service to customers. This conference focuses on practical case studies that will help you plan for the implications of the big changes and keep on track with the service and efficiency improvements you need to make.
